BIOGRAPHY
Fifteen years after their debut album 'The Mirror' (whose opening track 'Phobia' was heard on  Aussie airwaves and the video clip broadcast nationally on ABC TV's 'Rage' in 1996), PROJECT X AUSTRALIA deliver their long-awaited second album 'D GENERATION'.

Featuring members from BLACK STEEL, ALLEGIANCE, TRILOGY, THE SIREN TOWER, RAGDOLL GLAMNATION and others, the collective hard rock and metal experience in the band spans from guitarist Jamie Page's writing credits for QUEEN guitarist BRIAN MAY, to support slots with DEEP PURPLE, JUDAS PRIEST, SLAYER, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and more.

Combining traditional and power metal elements reminiscent of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Manowar, The Scorpions and Accept, 'D Generation' also draws heavily from the likes of Primal Fear, Hammerfall and Dream Evil. A tough Aussie edge, inherited from Oz rockers like AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and The Angels is also added to the performances. Indeed, a highlight of the album is Project X Australia's version of The Angels' classic Aussie pub rock standard 'Take A Long Line'. With a blessing from The Angels' camp, this is a no-holds-barred metal treatment of the song. Complete with guitar shredding, thundering double kicks and energy-charged vocals, while retaining the original spirit of the song and paying homage to the wildness of Aussie hard rock.

Alomg with fast-pacers like 'Whipping Boy' and the title track, 'D Generation' also offers mid-paced rockers like 'Firefight', a driving triplet feel in 'Last Man Standing', and ethereal ballads such as 'Alive' and 'Writing On The Wall'.

Continuing the tradition of uniting a fine pedigree of some of Australia's most prominient metal exponents, the line-up includes vocalist / guitarist Matt Williams (Black Steel), drummer Rick Lovett (Glamnation, Rockstar The Band), guitarist Jamie Page (writing credits for Brian May, and member of Black Steel, Black Alice, Trilogy), Gareth Hughes (The Siren Tower, Graphic Fiction Heroes), rising guitar hero Leon Todd (Ragdoll), and rhythm axe-wielder Ryan Rafferty (Ragdoll). There are also some notable guest appearances from bassist Dave Harrison (Allegiance, Black Steel), and guitarist / vocalist Graeme Smailes (Cheeky Monkeys). Sandra Calvezzi (Countdown) also provides a female vocal element to the queiter moments on the album, providing some sultry guest vocals on 'Alive', as well as some harmonies and catchy and melodic guitar solos on both 'Alive' and 'Writing On The Wall'.

Project X Australia are continuing to promote 'D Generation', and have just released a video clip for 'Alive' on YouTube.
